ASKING THE QUESTION IN THE CITY OF LOVE

Riaan contacted me in January 2025, sharing his vision and dream of asking the question and having me capture the moment.

Ghetané, his girlfriend at the time, was coming to visit him in the Netherlands, and he wanted to ask for her hand in marriage in the City of Love!

Months of planning led up to this beautiful spring morning on the grass in front of the Eiffel Tower. It was absolutely breathtaking—from the clear blue skies (which you don't always get to witness in Europe, especially when spring is only just beginning) to the excitement of what was about to unfold.

Riaan and Ghetané are high school sweethearts, and the way their love radiates for one another is truly an honour to witness from the sidelines.

After Riaan popped the question and Ghetané gave the easiest "Ja" ("Yes" in Afrikaans), they soaked up the moment together. Afterwards, we wandered through the beautiful Parisian streets for a lovely couples session to celebrate their new season as an engaged couple.

It will forever be one of the greatest highlights of my career to have witnessed this extraordinary act of love.
